US-Africa TRADE MISSIONS

The U.S.-Africa Trade Commission in collaboration with partners and stakeholders, organizes trade and investment missions to United States of America and several African countries. The high efficiency of such events makes them particularly popular in modern conditions of the international relations development. If your purpose is to identify partners for specific projects, share experiences and establish contact with knowledgeable experts and reputable foreign institutions, then Trade and Investment Missions program is just for you.

The goal of trade missions is to establish international business relationships through facilitating trade opportunities, creating joint ventures and strategic alliances between international businesses and domestic companies. Business people, who attend trade missions, are introduced both to the important business contacts and to well-placed government officials. A trade mission is a productive way in which countries or organizations seek out potential buyers and sellers.

The Trade Commission manages both inbound and outbound business delegations. Some of the important features of trade missions are:

  • Focus on expanding markets, product lines and diversification for businesses
  • One-on–one and closed group meetings with business organizations relevant to the delegation
  • Discussion on investment opportunities and networking events surrounding the trade mission visit.
  • Multi-sector reach exploring business avenues in the public and private sectors.

USAfriTC organizes multiple trade missions and reverse trade missions each year in order to promote U.S.-Africa business and investment. While some of USAfriTC’s trade missions are sector-specific, a number of the organization’s delegations are of an exploratory nature, providing access to the region’s most promising markets.
